The Final Blog

1- Since September I think that I have grown over the year because its just the matter of the mentality. Just the way I think. Even just being in High School gives the chance of just growing up. The way you feel when you are sitting in class listening to your teacher lechure on the book you have just read, or walking in the hallways with all your books and notebooks struggling to get to class so you wont be late. Even if we don't want to believe it, we have all grown up.

2-The least favorite topic I studied in English class was literate terms. I was never good at remembering the vocab, or understanding the terms for that matter.

3-The Most challenging topic to study was again the literary terms. Then we would have to study this for the midterms. I don't think i did so great on the literary section.

4- My favorite topic to study in English class was reading about Mythology. I absolutely love to learn about the the Greek mythology, who were in it, and what they did, and what was their hole story about them.

5- If I could give any advise to the up coming freshman it would be, stay on the third floor by the pool where the sun roof is because that is the best way to keep cool when it gets hot.

The Jersey Devil Project

Not Given. "The Jersey Devil (Fact or Fiction)." elktownship.com. 2002. Disk Work. 12 April

2008 <http://www.elktownship.com/>.

Paraphrase: Over 260 years a mythical creature called the Jersey Devil has haunted Pine Barrens, New Jersey. The townspeople said that the Devil has "terrorized towns and caused factories and schools to close down, yet some of the people still believed that the Jersey Devil is a legend, mythical beast, that originated from folklore of the New Jersey Pine Barrens" (Elktownship, 1).

Direct Quote: Seeing how there are numerous amount of "stories" referring to the Jersey Devil, one of the most popular "legends say a Mrs. Shrouds of Leeds Point, NJ made a wish that if she ever had another child, she want it to be a devil" (2).

Notes:
-When the child was born it just happened to be deformed, she cared for it, hid the "baby" away from the curious, then one day the baby flapped it's arm's then turned into wing's and flew away. -Another story says that a young girl from Leeds Point fell in love with a British soldier during the Revolutionary War. The towns people of Leeds Point cursed her, and when she would give birth, it would be the devil, that was the punishment.

What to Care About in Life

In our lives, we all have somebody to fall back on. Who do you have to fall back, who is the one that is there to catch you when you fall?
You see, have a sister... she is my best friend. We talk to each other, fight with each, most likely over which one is "more stupider" -me, from the other, or which one has a "cooler face" -my sisters' quote.
Sometimes I think of my other sister. Caring, free-hearted, hysterical, and above all my sister. Sometimes I wonder why or how did I get such Funny, Charismatic, Crazy Enthusiastically, Loving, Beautiful sisters.
I know that I am lucky and I know that other's that read this are lucky in there own way as well, if not you just haven't found what you've been falling back on.
Peace

drafts

1- In my opinions I do think that today wold does grow up too fast. In ways such as; how every child today want to be treated like an adult that they miss out on all the kid stuff that has been going on in the other kids life's. Also the kid now a days are always trying to "please" the parents, such as the the parents are always on their back for college, or just good grades for that matter.

2- Gerald's life is a lot different than most of the average high school students because Gerald had to grow up fast in order to take care of Angel. He also had to defend himself against some of the abusers that were in his life, everyday. These differences helped him in many ways. now he know that he must always defend himself and to others, or to protect others. What happened in the past made him what is today.

3- There has been times in my life that I had to defend my family and friends at one point in my life.

Chapter 7 Response

In my life I have been faced with grief, like in the book Forged By Fire.
When my grandmother died I didnt know what to think, but, is she okay, is she sleeping, where did she go? Iwas really young when this happened , so i didn't know what exactly what happened to my granmother. When I went to her funeral, that was when I finally understood where she went. I was with all my family and friends, some other people in my family or friend that I hadn't met until the of the day funeral. when the ceremony began ,I said my prayers, then I said goodbye. That was all I could do. I loved very, very much we may not have spoken the same laguage, but we always understood eachother.

The Highlights of Animal Farm Ch. 9 and10

In chapter 9 since the pig's the book are the ones that get the special treatment in the farm they can get away with anything, and they take advantage of that such as when the pigs are being born, they can were the special green ribbons only on the Sundays. they were given a pint of beer daily and even Napoleon gets a half a gallon a day. The windmill being rebuilt the farm proclaimed Republic. then one day when Boxer was recovering from the incident that he did while working one day, a van came to take Boxer away, when the pigs came to the van they realized that the van said "Horse Slaughter". They immediately cried they knew that there was nothing that they could do. After that day Boxer was never seen again. When the pigs bought themselves a can of whiskey the farm later found out that Mr. Jones had died. Everybody has gone old, nobody remembers the day of the rebellion, then the windmill was finished.

Chapter 10. Days have passed, news spread around, especially the that Squealer can walk! soon all the pigs started to walk on all twos'. the other animals forgot that one of the rules was that nobody was to walk like a human does.then the Sheep's started to say "4 legs good, 2 legs better". all the commandments are being changed to so many different meanings like; All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others. Then the pigs have the right to install a phone to the farm, they started to wear Mr. Jones' clothes, the pigs have even been smoking because of Napoleon.

At the end of the book when Napoleon got a card playing game with Mr. Pilkinton, the pigs got a glimps of the men and the men saw the pigs, the other animals saw the stares, and they couldnt tell, if which one was which, the pigs and the men were all the same.
